Key Responsibilities
1. Business & Marketing Strategy
• Build and own the marketing plan for the Healthcare vertical – Hospitals, Treatment Centres and Clinics – aligned with Group Marketing strategy and GM Healthcare's business priorities.
• Identify target patient segments and market opportunities across the network to grow patient volumes and revenue.
• Track marketing's contribution to business outcomes – patient acquisition, revenue, retention – not just campaign activity.
2. Digital Marketing – the primary growth channel
• Own digital marketing end-to-end for the vertical: SEO, SEM, social media, content, email/WhatsApp marketing and marketing automation.
• Own the network's websites and digital platforms across Hospitals, Treatment Centres and Clinics, and drive lead quality and conversion, not just traffic and reach.
• Build retention programmes – email/WhatsApp follow-up, loyalty and re-engagement – to improve repeat visits and patient lifetime value.
• Build and protect the network's online reputation – reviews, ratings and patient sentiment – across all locations.
• Track digital performance (cost per lead, cost per patient, ROI) and course-correct campaigns in real time; this channel should carry the largest share of marketing time and budget.
3. Activation & On-Ground Initiatives
• Plan and run activation initiatives – health camps, wellness and awareness drives, corporate and community outreach, patient engagement events – to build visibility and drive footfall across the network.
• Build referral and partnership programmes with doctors, corporates and local healthcare providers.
• Own an activation calendar aligned to seasonal and local market opportunities across Hospitals, Treatment Centres and Clinics, and measure footfall/conversion from each initiative.
4. Market Research & Competitive Intelligence
• Track competitor marketing activity, pricing and positioning across the Ayurveda and wellness healthcare category.
• Conduct market research on patient preferences, emerging treatment and category trends, and catchment-level opportunities.
• Use research and competitive intelligence to inform strategy, campaigns and new market entry decisions – not as a one-off exercise.
5. Brand & Cross-Vertical Synergy
• Ensure brand positioning across the Hospitals network, Treatment Centres and Clinics is consistent with Group brand guidelines
• Coordinate with the Marketing Manager and other vertical marketing leads to maintain a unified brand experience
6. Marketing Collateral & Communication Material
• Design and produce all marketing collateral required across the network – LBLs, brochures, standees, signage, patient education material and digital creatives – consistent with brand guidelines.
• Manage design/creative agencies for collateral production, and ensure timely availability of the right material at every location.
7. PR, Content & Stakeholder Management
• Manage PR, media relationships and content – patient stories, doctor-led content, educational material – to build credibility and visibility.
• Work with doctors, therapists and leadership across Hospitals, Treatment Centres and Clinics to keep marketing aligned with clinical offerings.
• Build relationships with corporate, government and tourism partners to grow health tourism.
8. Budget & Performance
• Manage the marketing budget and agency/vendor relationships, with digital marketing and activation receiving priority allocation.
• Report marketing ROI, digital performance and patient acquisition metrics to GM Healthcare and the Marketing Manager.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
• 8–12 years in marketing/brand roles, with demonstrated ownership of business or P&L-linked outcomes – not only campaign execution.
• Strong, hands-on digital marketing expertise (SEO, SEM, social, content, marketing automation, analytics) – this is a core requirement of the role, not a support skill.
• Experience planning and running on-ground activation initiatives, and converting them into measurable footfall/patient acquisition.
• Experience with market research and competitive intelligence tracking, and using it to shape strategy.
• Experience managing design/creative agencies for collateral – LBLs, brochures, standees, signage and similar material.
• Background in consumer-facing or service-led businesses; healthcare, hospitality or wellness experience preferred but not mandatory.
• MBA in Marketing, or equivalent, preferred. Not mandatory for a candidate with the right experience
• Track record of driving measurable growth in customer/patient acquisition and brand strength.
• Comfortable operating in a lean, hands-on marketing team and working closely with clinical and business leadership.
