About the Role
PropDesign is looking for an experienced Procurement & Vendor Management professional to take complete ownership of sourcing, purchasing and vendor management for our interior design and turnkey projects.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of interior materials, finishes, market pricing and vendor networks, with the ability to negotiate effectively and ensure materials are delivered at the right cost, quality and timeline.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle end-to-end procurement for multiple interior projects.
* Source materials including plywood, laminates, veneers, hardware, glass, stone/marble, tiles, lighting, sanitaryware, fabrics, wallpapers, furniture, décor and other interior finishes.
* Identify, evaluate, negotiate with and onboard new vendors and suppliers.
* Develop and maintain a strong vendor network across different material and service categories.
* Obtain quotations, prepare vendor comparison statements and negotiate pricing, credit terms, payment terms and delivery schedules.
* Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and track them through final delivery.
* Coordinate with Design, Project Management, Production, Site and Accounts teams for procurement requirements.
* Ensure all procured materials comply with approved specifications, quantities, quality standards and budgets.
* Monitor material lead times and proactively plan procurement to avoid project delays.
* Continuously identify alternate vendors and negotiate better commercial terms for cost optimization.
* Monitor vendor performance based on quality, pricing, service and timely delivery.
* Handle material shortages, damages, replacements, quality issues and vendor escalations.
* Verify vendor quotations, invoices and quantities before coordinating payments with Accounts.
* Maintain updated vendor databases, price lists, procurement trackers and purchase records.
* Provide regular procurement status and cost reports to management.
Candidate Profile
* 3-5 years of experience in Procurement / Purchase / Vendor Management.
* Experience in Interior Design, Turnkey Interiors, Fit-out or Construction is strongly preferred.
* Strong understanding of interior materials, finishes, specifications and current market pricing.
* Existing vendor network in Bengaluru will be an added advantage.
* Strong negotiation and commercial skills.
* Good knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets and procurement tracking.
* Ability to manage procurement requirements for multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent coordination, follow-up and problem-solving skills.
* Strong ownership and accountability for commitments and timelines.
