Role Description
This is a full-time position for a Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Project Engineer located on-site in Goregaon. The MEP Project Engineer will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components of various real estate projects. The responsibilities include project management, reviewing technical designs, coordinating with contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering quality-driven results within specified timelines.

Core Responsibilities (Site/Execution Focused)
- Manage HVAC, plumbing, fire safety systems for large projects, focusing on site execution, vendor coordination, quality control, and documentation (drawings, BOQs), working closely with contractors on luxury residential/commercial builds, ensuring compliance, and troubleshooting systems from design to handover, a role needing strong project management and technical skills.
- Ensuring that MEP systems are integrated effectively within the architectural design, meet regulatory standards, and are completed on time and within budget, need to coordinate MEP Engineer collaborates closely with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of building projects.
- MEP Coordination: Oversee mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting), electrical, and plumbing works on-site.Design & Coordination: Review MEP drawings, run clash-detection (using tools like AutoCAD or Revit), and coordinate layouts with civil and structural teams.
- Site Management: Supervise daily work, manage resources (tools, materials), set targets, and monitor workforce productivity. Execution & Supervision: Monitor daily site work for HVAC, electrical panels, plumbing lines, and firefighting equipment.
- Quality & Safety: Ensure installations meet project standards, safety plans, and quality assurance protocols. Compliance: Ensure adherence to local building codes, National Building Codes (NBC), and secure statutory authority approvals/NOCs.
- Vendor & Contractor Liaison: Coordinate with main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for timely material delivery and technical resolution. Vendor & Cost Management: Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQs), evaluate contractor tenders, and handle material approvals.
- Testing & Handover: Oversee system testing, commissioning, and final project snagging before handing over to facility management. Short-term planning, scheduling, identifying delays, and arranging inspections/testing.
Key Areas of Focus
- Luxury & High-End Projects: Often involved in large-scale residential or commercial developments.
- MEP Design Review: Reviewing designs, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and technical specifications.
- System Expertise: Managing HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing systems for buildings.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including knowledge of Plumbing, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering concepts.
- Strong skills in Project Management, including planning, execution, and coordination of tasks to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and vendors effectively.
- Strong knowledge of construction standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in MEP engineering for residential or commercial construction projects is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar will be an added advantage.
