Role Description The Management Consultant – Manufacturing Excellence is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The consultant will work closely with manufacturing clients to assess current operations, analyze performance data, and identify opportunities for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting plant assessments, mapping and optimizing business processes, developing improvement roadmaps, and supporting the implementation of lean and continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves collaborating with client leadership and cross-functional teams, preparing structured reports and presentations, and monitoring project outcomes against defined KPIs. The consultant will also contribute to internal knowledge development, best-practice frameworks, and tools for manufacturing excellence.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret operational data, diagnose problems, and quantify improvement opportunities.
- Candidates should possess Management Consulting and Consulting experience, preferably in manufacturing or operations-focused projects.
- Candidates should possess Finance-related skills to understand cost structures, ROI, and the financial impact of operational changes.
- Candidates should possess Business Process expertise, including process mapping, optimization, and implementation of continuous improvement methods.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies; certifications are an advantage.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills, with the ability to work on-site with client teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to dynamic client environments, and deliver measurable results.
