Role Description The Lead Solar Installer is a full-time, on-site role located in Delhi, India. This position is responsible for overseeing the installation of solar power systems, including site assessment, layout planning, mounting of panels, wiring, and system testing. The role includes leading installation crews, assigning tasks, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and coordinating with project managers and clients to meet project timelines and quality requirements. Day-to-day activities involve hands-on work with tools and equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, verifying system performance, and documenting installations. The Lead Solar Installer also supports training of junior team members and contributes to continuous improvement of installation processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge and experience in Solar Power and Solar Systems.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with the Solar Industry and current installation best practices.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in using Power Tools safely and effectively during installations.
- Candidates should possess solid skills in working with Hand Tools for mechanical and electrical tasks.
- Relevant experience leading field installation teams or supervising site work is preferred.
- Understanding of basic electrical principles, safety regulations, and rooftop work practices is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and installation guides is advantageous.
- Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in varying outdoor conditions are required.
- Prior experience in solar or related construction trades and a vocational/technical diploma or equivalent are beneficial.
