Role Description The Interior Designer will work full time on-site at Samay Innovation’s studio in Ahmedabad, collaborating with the design team to develop luxury residential and commercial interiors. Responsibilities include creating design concepts, preparing mood boards and presentations, and translating ideas into detailed interior layouts and elevations. The role involves space planning, selecting materials, finishes, and FF&E, as well as coordinating with architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure design intent is executed accurately. The Interior Designer will produce and review construction drawings, oversee site progress, and perform regular quality checks to maintain design standards. Additional tasks include client meetings, capturing feedback, updating documentation, and supporting concept-to-completion project delivery within timelines and budgets.
Qualifications
- Strong interior design and space planning skills, with the ability to create functional, aesthetically refined layouts.
- Knowledge of architecture and construction drawings, including coordination with project teams during execution.
- Experience with FF&E selection and specification, including finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar), plus presentation tools.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Attention to detail, strong visualization skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, vendors, and on-site teams.
- Experience in luxury interiors or high-end residential/commercial projects is an advantage.
