Role DescriptionThe Junior Architect / AutoCAD Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. The candidate will support the architecture and lighting design team in preparing accurate 2D floor plans, lighting layouts, fixture placements, and technical drawings for various projects.
The role will involve understanding architectural and interior layouts and translating them into practical lighting solutions. The candidate will work closely with senior designers and project teams to ensure lighting fixtures are positioned accurately and coordinated with the overall space.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and modify 2D floor plans and architectural drawings in AutoCAD.
- Develop lighting layouts based on architectural, interior, and ceiling plans.
- Accurately position and coordinate lighting fixtures within floor plans.
- Prepare reflected ceiling plans and other lighting-related drawings where required.
- Understand dimensions, scale, furniture layouts, ceiling layouts, and spatial requirements.
- Make drawing revisions based on design changes, client requirements, and site conditions.
- Assist senior architects and lighting designers with design development and documentation.
- Coordinate lighting layouts with electrical and architectural requirements.
- Assist in preparing product/fixture schedules and technical documentation.
- Participate in site visits, measurements, and inspections when required.
- Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and consultants under the guidance of senior team members.
- Maintain organized project drawings and documentation.
Qualifications & Skills- B.Arch / Diploma in Architecture / Interior Design / equivalent qualification.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D is mandatory.
- Good understanding of architectural floor plans and technical drawings.
- Ability to understand and work with dimensions, scale, layers, annotations, and drawing standards.
- Basic understanding of lighting layouts and lighting fixtures.
- Good spatial and visual understanding.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to learn lighting design, electrical planning, and lighting products.
- Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, DIALux, Photoshop, or other design software will be an added advantage.
Experience0–2 years of experience.
Freshers with strong AutoCAD skills and a good understanding of architectural drawings are encouraged to apply.
