Role Description The Junior Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable. Responsibilities include preparing basic financial reports, supporting monthly and annual closing activities, reconciling bank statements, and helping ensure compliance with internal controls and relevant accounting standards. The role will also involve coordinating with operations and procurement teams to verify invoices, monitor expenses, and assist with statutory documentation and audit preparation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, requiring regular collaboration with finance and operational staff.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, including journal entries, ledgers, and basic financial statements.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office tools (especially Excel for spreadsheets, reconciliations, and reports).
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to maintain organized financial records and documentation.
- Ability to analyze numerical data, perform reconciliations, and identify discrepancies in accounts.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ability to work on-site in Hyderabad, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; internships or prior experience in a finance or accounting role are an advantage.
- Familiarity with local taxation, billing, and compliance processes in India is beneficial.
