JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced HANA Database Administrator with strong knowledge of SAP HANA database administration, troubleshooting, backup and recovery, and performance management.
KEY SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strong knowledge of SAP HANA Database Architecture and Administration
- Hands-on experience with HANA 2.0 MDC and Non-MDC environments
- Experience in HANA installation, upgrade, patching and instance administration
- Knowledge of HANA backup, restore, recovery and point-in-time recovery
- Experience with Backint and traditional backup methods
- Database restart and troubleshooting using OS-level commands and HANA Studio
- Experience in HANA monitoring, alerts and system health checks
- Knowledge of HANA performance tuning, memory and CPU troubleshooting
- Experience in HANA user, license and audit log management
- Knowledge of HANA parameter configuration and trace management
- Basic knowledge of Linux operating system
- Experience handling P1/P2 incidents, outages and critical production issues
- Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery is an advantage
- Strong analytical, communication and customer-handling skills
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage technical incidents, service requests, change requests and problem management
- Perform HANA installation, patching, upgrades and maintenance activities
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot production issues
- Manage backup, restore and recovery activities
- Perform root cause analysis and provide timely resolution
- Support HA/DR and technical migration activities
- Work with global teams and participate in knowledge transfer and documentation
- Support shift operations and take shift lead responsibilities when required
