Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interventional Cardiologist role based in Chennai. The Interventional Cardiologist will evaluate and manage patients with cardiovascular diseases, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Cath Lab, such as coronary angiography, angioplasty, and related interventions. Daily responsibilities include clinical consultations, reviewing diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams. The role involves participation in inpatient and outpatient services, emergency cardiac care, and adherence to established clinical protocols and quality standards. The Interventional Cardiologist will also contribute to patient education, documentation, and, where applicable, teaching or mentoring junior medical staff.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Medicine and Cardiology, with the ability to diagnose and manage a broad range of cardiovascular conditions.
- Hands-on experience in Cath Lab procedures, including diagnostic and therapeutic Interventional techniques.
- Advanced proficiency in Interventional Cardiology, with competence in contemporary percutaneous coronary interventions and related procedures.
- Relevant medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate specialization (MD / DNB in Internal Medicine or equivalent) with DM / DNB in Cardiology or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Valid medical licensure and registration with appropriate medical councils, and compliance with local regulatory requirements.
- Strong clinical judgment, adherence to evidence-based practice, and commitment to patient safety and quality care.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Willingness to participate in emergency duties, continuous professional development, and hospital quality initiatives.
