Role Description The Intern role at Cortaxa Legal LLP is a full-time, on-site position based in Jaipur. Interns support attorneys in day-to-day tasks such as legal research, case law analysis, and drafting basic documents, notes, and summaries. Responsibilities may include assisting with preparation for hearings and meetings, organizing case files and documentation, and helping compile information for taxation, arbitration, and commercial dispute matters. Interns may observe court proceedings, client meetings, and internal discussions to gain practical exposure to litigation and advisory work. The role requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced professional environment.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a law degree (LL.B or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Strong legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret statutes, regulations, and case law.
- Effective written communication skills for drafting notes, summaries, and basic legal documents.
- Interest in business and commercial law, including taxation, arbitration, and dispute resolution.
- Proficiency with standard productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets) and online legal research platforms.
- Ability to work on-site in Jaipur, manage time effectively, and handle multiple assignments under supervision.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and respect for confidentiality in handling client and case information.
- Prior internship or moot court experience related to corporate or commercial law is an advantage but not mandatory.
