Role Description The Interior Designer will be responsible for designing and detailing commercial and residential interiors, including concept development, space planning, material selection, and FF&E coordination. Day-to-day tasks include preparing 2D and 3D layouts, construction drawings, and presentations; collaborating with architects, engineers, and project managers; and ensuring design intent is maintained through site visits and on-site coordination. The role involves working closely with clients to understand their requirements, developing design proposals aligned with budget and timelines, and supporting procurement and vendor coordination for finishes, furniture, and fixtures. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram, requiring regular interaction with project teams and active involvement in execution and handover stages.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Interior Design and FF&E, including concept development, material selection, and furniture and fixture planning.
- Demonstrated skills in Space Planning to create functional, efficient, and aesthetically cohesive layouts for commercial and residential projects.
- Knowledge of Architecture and its integration with interior design to ensure structural feasibility and alignment with overall project objectives.
- Ability to produce accurate Construction Drawings and detailed working drawings for execution teams and contractors.
- Proficiency with design and visualization software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, or similar) and familiarity with photorealistic rendering tools.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to present design concepts and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; prior experience in commercial interiors or turnkey projects is preferred.
