Role Description The Interior Design Intern role at Mitti Mahal is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The intern will support the design team in developing concepts, assisting with space planning, preparing mood boards, and selecting materials, finishes, and furniture. Daily tasks include creating and updating drawings, 3D models, and presentations, as well as organizing FF&E schedules and design documentation. The intern will help coordinate with vendors, assist in site visits and measurements, and contribute to project research and design development. This role offers hands-on exposure to residential and commercial projects and close collaboration with experienced designers.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Interior Design, including concept development and detailing.
- Skills in Space Planning and spatial analysis for functional and aesthetic layouts.
- Knowledge of Furniture design/selection and FF&E (fixtures, fittings, and equipment).
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with teams, vendors, and clients.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and presentation tools.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Attention to detail, strong organization skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Interest in material research, sustainable design practices, and emerging design trends.
