Role Description The Instruments Service Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. This role is responsible for providing field service support for temperature measurement and control instruments, including installation, commissioning, calibration, and routine maintenance. Daily activities include diagnosing equipment issues, performing repairs and replacements, and ensuring instruments such as RTDs, thermocouples, thermowells, and controllers function within specified parameters. The engineer will visit customer sites, conduct technical assessments, prepare concise service reports, and communicate findings and recommendations to clients and internal teams. The role also involves offering technical support, guiding customers on proper usage and care of equipment, and coordinating with the manufacturing and quality teams to resolve recurring technical concerns.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for temperature measurement and control instruments.
- Experience in field service activities, including on-site installation, commissioning, and customer support.
- Technical support capabilities, with the ability to interpret technical documentation and instrumentation schematics.
- Hands-on maintenance and repair skills for RTDs, thermocouples, thermowells, indicators, and controllers.
- Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Diploma or degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and safety standards in industrial environments.
- Ability to work independently on-site, manage multiple service calls, and maintain accurate service documentation.
- Prior experience in industrial instrumentation or temperature control systems is an advantage.
