Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Import–Export / Sales Executive (Domestic & International) role based in Mumbai. The role involves managing import and export documentation, coordinating with freight forwarders and customs agents, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. The executive will handle domestic and overseas customer inquiries, prepare quotations, negotiate prices and terms, and follow up on leads to convert them into orders. Daily responsibilities include tracking shipments, updating customers on order status, maintaining accurate records in internal systems, and supporting timely payment collections. The role also requires close collaboration with the warehouse, accounts, and management teams to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Import and Import Export processes, including documentation, compliance, and coordination with logistics partners.
- Candidates should possess solid Export and International Trade skills to manage overseas orders, trade regulations, and communication with global clients.
- Candidates should possess effective Customer Service skills to handle inquiries, build relationships, resolve issues, and provide post-sales support.
- Candidates should possess additional skills such as negotiation, basic commercial and tax knowledge, and proficiency in MS Office and email communication.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in International Business, Commerce, or a related field, and prior experience in import–export or metal trading will be beneficial.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and local languages, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced on-site environment are preferred.
