Role Description The Home Tutor at Brilliant Tutors Academy provides individualized instruction to students at their homes, following the school curriculum and the academy’s teaching guidelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning lessons, delivering engaging teaching sessions, assigning and checking homework, and preparing students for tests and examinations. The tutor will regularly assess student progress, share feedback with parents or guardians, and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and academic levels. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, requiring travel to students’ residences within the city and adherence to a professional schedule agreed with the academy and families.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong expertise in the school subjects they teach (e.g., Mathematics, Science, English, Social Studies) and be able to explain concepts clearly at the appropriate grade level.
- Candidates should possess effective teaching and classroom management skills, including lesson planning, use of learning materials, and strategies to keep students engaged and focused.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students and families in a professional, respectful, and supportive manner.
- Candidates should possess strong assessment and feedback skills, including the ability to evaluate student performance, identify learning gaps, and track progress over time.
- Candidates should possess organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple students, maintain schedules, and complete reports or updates as required by the academy.
- Relevant teaching qualifications or a bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field are beneficial; prior tutoring or school-teaching experience is strongly preferred.
- Candidates should demonstrate reliability, patience, and a commitment to learner safety and welfare; willingness to tutor at students’ homes across Mumbai is essential.
