Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Heating Air Conditioning Design Engineer based in Abroad. The engineer will be responsible for designing HVAC systems for residential, commercial, or industrial projects, including load calculations, equipment selection, duct layout, and specifications. Daily tasks include preparing design drawings and documentation, coordinating with plumbing and mechanical teams, reviewing project requirements, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and codes. The role involves working closely with project managers, architects, and contractors, providing technical support during installation, and reviewing designs for energy efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness. The engineer will also assist in preparing technical reports, responding to client queries, and updating designs based on feedback and site conditions.
Qualifications
- Strong HVAC Design and HVAC system planning skills, including load calculations and equipment selection.
- Knowledge of Plumbing design and coordination with mechanical building services.
- Solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering principles applied to building services and system integration.
- Ability to perform accurate technical Calculations related to heat load, airflow, and energy efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Experience with CAD or BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) for HVAC and plumbing layouts.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, IS standards, local building regulations).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities for working with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
- Previous experience in HVAC design for commercial or residential projects is preferred.
