Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Plumbing Design Engineer role based in Ahmedabad. The Plumbing Design Engineer will design plumbing systems for building projects, including water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems in coordination with MEP and building services teams. Responsibilities include preparing design calculations, sizing and selecting equipment, and developing detailed drawings and specifications that align with project codes and standards. The role involves reviewing architectural and structural plans, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and resolving technical issues during design and construction. The engineer will also participate in quality checks, support project documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and standards.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of core plumbing systems, including Plumbing and Plumbing Design, for commercial and residential buildings.
- Experience with Water Supply design, distribution, and related infrastructure within building projects.
- Understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) coordination and integrated Building Services design.
- Proficiency in relevant design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar BIM platforms).
- Familiarity with local and international plumbing codes, standards, and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality-driven documentation.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
- Prior experience in plumbing design for large-scale or multi-unit projects is advantageous.
