Role Description The Head of the Department – Business Administration (BBA) will lead the academic, administrative, and strategic activities of the BBA department on-site in Bengaluru. This full-time role involves planning and overseeing academic programs, curriculum development, and continuous improvement to align with industry needs and university guidelines. The role includes supervising faculty, mentoring staff, supporting professional development, and fostering a collaborative and student-centric learning environment. The Head will ensure effective teaching schedules, assessment processes, and academic quality, while promoting research, industry interaction, internships, and co-curricular initiatives. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with institutional leadership, participating in accreditation and quality assurance activities, engaging with stakeholders, and upholding institutional policies and codes of conduct.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Business Administration and Business Management, with the ability to lead a BBA department.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret academic data, monitor departmental performance, and support decision-making.
- Excellent Communication skills for effective interaction with students, faculty, management, and external stakeholders.
- Sound understanding of Finance principles relevant to business education and departmental budgeting.
- Advanced degree (preferably PhD or MBA/Master’s in Management or Business Administration) from a recognized institution.
- Significant academic experience in higher education, including teaching, curriculum design, and academic administration.
- Proven leadership abilities, people management skills, and experience in mentoring faculty and students.
- Familiarity with accreditation processes, quality assurance, and university regulations.
- Commitment to inclusive education, ethical conduct, and maintaining a safe and respectful campus environment.
- Experience in industry collaboration, research, consulting, or entrepreneurship initiatives is an added advantage.
