About The role
The
VP – Commercial Effectiveness & Pricing Lead is a senior role within the
OTC Operations responsible for providing the
data, insights, pricing operations, commercial planning and digital capabilities that enable markets to make better and faster commercial decisions.
The role will work closely with
Market Commercial, Revenue Growth Management and Finance teams, providing trusted performance visibility, actionable insights and efficient execution support across pricing, commercial planning and sales effectiveness.
Markets retain ownership of NSV, commercial strategy and commercial performance. GBS enables markets through strong data, analytics, processes and operational capabilities.
The role will also partner with
GPO and COT/Transformation teams to standardise processes, evaluate improvement opportunities and drive adoption of new capabilities across markets.
Key Accountabilities

- Provide markets with timely, accurate and actionable visibility of commercial performance.
- Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards and analytics covering sales, NSV, distribution, ROS, market share, innovation, customer/channel performance and commercial execution.
- Translate data into insights and recommendations that help markets identify performance gaps and opportunities.
- Establish consistent performance definitions, reporting standards and trusted data sources across markets.
- Pricing & RGM Operations
- Provide operational and analytical support to markets for pricing and RGM activities.
- Support CPI pricing, NPD pricing, everyday deals, ad-hoc discounts, credit calculations and Anaplan pricing.
- Maintain pricing databases and support price-chain, P&L and profit-pool analysis.
- Identify pricing process, data and execution issues and work with markets to resolve them.
- Drive standardisation and simplification of pricing operations where appropriate.
- Commercial Planning & Sales Effectiveness
- Provide data, tools and analytical support for commercial planning, territory optimisation, journey planning and customer coverage.
- Support route-to-market modelling, outlet segmentation, call scheduling and CPD analysis.
- Develop solutions that reduce manual planning and enable commercial teams to focus on the right customers and opportunities.
- Track adoption and effectiveness of commercial planning tools and ways of working.
- Data, Analytics & Digital Enablement
- Build and manage scalable commercial data and analytics capabilities within GBS.
- Deliver dashboards and reporting for MBR, S&OE, RGM, sales, stock, depletions, customer and channel performance.
- Drive automation, AI, process simplification and improved data foundations.
- Provide business ownership and support for key commercial platforms including EDGE365, ECM, Portatour, Trax, Anaplan, CSP and Power BI.
- Continuously improve platform adoption, data quality and user experience.
- Transformation & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with GPO and COT/Transformation teams on the commercial transformation agenda.
- Evaluate initiatives from a process, data, analytics and market-value perspective, providing insights and recommendations.
- Support implementation, adoption and stabilisation of new solutions.
- Identify opportunities to standardise, simplify and scale successful solutions across markets.
- Market Business Partnership
- Build strong relationships with Market Commercial, Sales and Finance teams and act as a trusted GBS partner.
- Understand market priorities and translate them into scalable GBS solutions.
- Proactively bring insights and improvement opportunities to markets rather than operating as a reporting service.
- Ensure GBS services evolve with changing market needs while maintaining appropriate global standards.
Key Success Measures
- Improved visibility and quality of commercial performance insights
- Stakeholder satisfaction with GBS commercial services
- Accuracy and timeliness of pricing execution
- Reduction in manual reporting, planning and pricing activities
- Adoption and effectiveness of commercial tools and platforms

- Influence effectively across Market, GBS, GPO, COT, Finance, Sales and Technology.
