Role Description We are looking for a dynamic, confident and commercially driven
woman to take ownership of Sales & Business Development for Cultural Exchanges. The Head of Sales and Business Development is a full-time, remote role responsible for designing and executing the organization’s
art auction, art sale and CEPS marketing and growth strategy across global markets. This role oversees the full sales cycle, including prospecting, pipeline development, relationship management, negotiations, and closing partnerships with collectors, institutions, brands, and patrons aligned with Cultural Exchanges®’ mission. Day-to-day activities include managing key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, building strategic collaborations, and setting measurable revenue and impact goals. The role also involves leading and mentoring a growing sales team, implementing performance metrics, and ensuring consistent communication and reporting. The Head of Sales and Business Development partners closely with leadership and curatorial teams to align sales initiatives with exhibitions, auctions, and cultural projects, while representing the institution in virtual meetings, presentations, and industry events.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Sales and Sales Management skills to drive revenue growth, manage the sales pipeline, and oversee strategic partnerships.
- Candidates should possess solid Account Management and Team Management skills to nurture long-term relationships and lead a high-performing, collaborative sales team.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, forecast performance, and make informed decisions about markets, pricing, and partner opportunities.
- Experience in business development within arts, culture, creative industries, or impact-driven organizations is highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote, international, and cross-cultural environment, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven track record in building strategic alliances, negotiating complex deals, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Arts Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Comfort with digital collaboration tools, CRM platforms, and data-driven reporting; fluency in additional languages is a plus.
