Role Description The Head of Production – Jewellery is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for overseeing end-to-end jewellery production from design handover to final quality checks. This role includes planning and managing production schedules, coordinating with artisans, vendors, and internal teams, and ensuring that all pieces meet ANANYA’s standards for craftsmanship and finish. The Head of Production will monitor workflows, optimize operational processes, manage resources and budgets, and resolve day-to-day production issues to ensure timely delivery. They will lead and mentor the production team, establish best practices, and collaborate closely with design and operations to maintain consistency, efficiency, and high-quality output across collections.
Qualifications
- Strong production planning and production management skills, with experience overseeing multiple projects and timelines.
- Demonstrated expertise in operations management, including workflow optimization and resource allocation in a jewellery or luxury goods environment.
- Proven team management capabilities, with experience leading, training, and motivating production staff and artisans.
- Solid budgeting and cost control skills, including tracking expenses and maintaining production efficiency within financial targets.
- Extensive experience in fine jewellery production, including knowledge of materials, manufacturing techniques, and quality standards.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with design, sourcing, and leadership teams.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and on-time delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Production, Operations, Jewellery Design, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- Experience working in a high-end or luxury jewellery brand in Mumbai or similar markets is an advantage.
