About MetaMorph:
MetaMorph partners with organizations to scale and innovate by putting people at the center of their strategy. With experience across 220+ organizations, we help align talent, enhance capabilities, and build strong employer brands through data-driven insights and end-to-end support.
About Our Client:
Our client is a fast-growing F&B brand with a rapidly expanding footprint across Delhi-NCR and multiple cities. With 350+ employees currently, the company is entering its next phase of growth and plans to scale to 800–1,000 employees over the next 18 months. The company operates across multiple cities, with a central kitchen in Noida and further expansion underway.
As the organisation scales, they are looking to build a strong People function and are hiring a Head of People to work closely with the Founder & CEO and build the people infrastructure for the next phase of growth.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on and entrepreneurial Head of People from the F&B/QSR sector to build and scale the company's People function.
This is a 0-to-1 and build-and-scale role, with ownership across HR Operations, Talent Acquisition and Training. The ideal candidate will have joined an F&B/QSR company at an early stage, helped build the HR function as the business scaled, and grown with the organisation. Candidates who have been the first HR hire, an early HR leader, HR #2 or a senior HR generalist with broad ownership will be particularly relevant.
The person will work closely with the Founder & CEO and will be responsible for building scalable people systems, strengthening culture, driving high-volume hiring, developing training and career frameworks, and establishing a structured performance management system.
Job Responsibilities:
• Build and lead the People function across HR Operations, Talent Acquisition and Training, along with regional HR teams across cities.
• Build and institutionalize a performance management system with clear KRAs, KPIs and a structured monthly review cadence.
• Develop processes that embed the company's culture and mission across the organisation, including the frontline workforce.
• Build career paths, role ladders, training curricula and certification frameworks to enable internal development and promotion.
• Build and lead the Talent Acquisition function and drive high-volume hiring to support business expansion and new-city launches.
• Develop scalable HR processes covering HRMS, employee lifecycle, multi-city payroll, compliance and regional HR structures.
• Build workforce planning and people processes that can support the organisation's growth from 350+ to 800–1,000 employees.
• Partner closely with the Founder and business leadership on organisation design, workforce planning, employee engagement and key people decisions.
• Build and develop the HR team as the organisation scales, while remaining hands-on in the early stages of the function.
Job Requirements:
• 5–15 years of experience in Human Resources / People, with flexibility for candidates with fewer years of experience who have strong 0-to-1 HR building and scale-up experience.
• Mandatory experience in F&B/QSR, preferably with a growing restaurant, food-service, bakery or cloud-kitchen business.
• Experience as a first HR hire, early HR leader, HR #2 or senior HR generalist who has built the HR function within an F&B/QSR company.
• Proven experience building HR processes, systems and teams from the ground up and scaling them alongside the F&B business.
• Experience leading HR in an organisation of approximately 300–800 employees and managing the people challenges associated with rapid growth.
• Strong hands-on experience across HR Operations, Talent Acquisition and Training/L&D rather than deep specialisation in only one HR function.
• Demonstrated experience building and implementing performance management systems, including KRAs, KPIs, appraisals and review mechanisms.
• Experience managing high-volume hiring for frontline/store employees and supporting multi-city F&B expansion.
• Strong culture-building and employee engagement experience, with the ability to translate company values into processes and behaviours across the frontline workforce.
• Experience working closely with founders or senior business leaders in an F&B/QSR environment.
• Entrepreneurial and hands-on mindset, with the ability to build systems from scratch while also executing them directly in the early stages.
Important: We are specifically looking for candidates who have built and scaled HR within an F&B/QSR organisation. Candidates from non-F&B industries or candidates whose experience has been limited to a single specialised HR function such as TA, HR Ops or L&D may not be relevant for this role.
