Role Purpose
To lead and oversee end-to-end logistics and supply chain operations for a marine-focused business, ensuring efficient service delivery, strong client relationships and effective coordination with logistics partners and service providers.
The role will be responsible for managing the operations team, driving operational excellence and ensuring seamless coordination across clients, 3PL partners, vendors and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Supply Chain Management
- Lead and oversee end-to-end logistics operations.
- Manage day-to-day activities across 3PL partners, vendors and service providers.
- Ensure timely and efficient execution of client requirements.
- Monitor operational performance, SLAs and service quality.
- Identify operational challenges and drive timely resolution.
- Implement processes to improve efficiency and optimise costs.
Team & Client Management
- Lead, mentor and manage a team of 10+ professionals.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients and manage ongoing relationships.
- Understand client requirements and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Handle escalations and work closely with stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors and logistics partners.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, 3PL or 4PL operations.
- Strong understanding of 3PL operations and logistics management.
- Proven experience managing a team of 10+ people.
- Strong experience in client-facing and stakeholder management.
- Experience managing external vendors, logistics partners and service providers.
- Strong operational, commercial and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the maritime/shipping industry or marine supply chain would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
