Role Description – Head of Finance
The Head of Finance is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Dharamshala, responsible for overseeing all financial operations of Asian Classic Travels. This position plays a critical role in driving financial strategy, ensuring compliance, and supporting sustainable business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading financial planning, analysis, and reporting in line with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
- Managing budgeting processes, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
- Identifying and mitigating financial risks while supporting pricing, profitability, and investment decisions.
- Providing strategic financial insights to senior leadership to guide expansion and operational efficiency.
- Developing and maintaining robust internal controls, coordinating audits, and optimizing financial systems.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the finance team to achieve excellence in execution.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional departments to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance with proven expertise in financial reporting and statement preparation.
- Demonstrated analytical skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Hands-on experience in budgeting, including planning, monitoring, and variance analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance standards.
- Track record of successfully leading and developing finance teams.
- Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related fields; professional certifications (CA, CPA, CFA, CMA) preferred.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Prior experience in the travel, hospitality, or services industry is an advantage.
