Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead and oversee the accounting and
finance operations for our clients India entity while supporting the global finance function.
The role requires close collaboration with international teams across the USA, Israel, Canada,
Puerto Rico, and China.
This is a management position responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial operations,
managing local accounting resources, coordinating with external stakeholders, and
supporting operational activities beyond traditional finance. The ideal candidate should
possess strong accounting knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work
effectively in an international environment.
Personal attributes and experience:
Accounting & Finance
• Supervise day-to-day accounting operations of the India entity.
• Review accounting records, reconciliations, month-end and year-end close activities.
• Ensure compliance with Indian statutory and tax regulations.
• Support banking, treasury, and cash management activities.
• Coordinate audits and statutory compliance requirements.
• Assist with payroll accounting and tax return coordination.
• Understand and review foreign exchange accounting and translation adjustments.
• Work closely with the US finance team on reporting and accounting matters.
• Identify significant accounting differences between Indian GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS and
recommend appropriate treatment where necessary.
Team Leadership
• Supervise and mentor the existing accounting team in India.
• Review work performed by team members and provide guidance.
• Ensure timely completion of finance-related deliverables.
• Coordinate work between India and international finance teams.
Operational Responsibilities
• Support HR administration where required, including payroll coordination and statutory
compliance.
• Coordinate with external service providers such as auditors, consultants, attorneys, bankers,
and landlords.
• Ensure operational tasks are completed either directly, through delegation, or by monitoring
responsible parties.
• Assist management in building stronger operational processes and organizational structure
within the India office.
Communication & Collaboration
• Communicate confidently with global stakeholders in English.
• Participate in meetings with international finance and leadership teams.
• Build strong working relationships across multiple countries and functions.
Technical Knowledge
The candidate should have:
• Strong knowledge of Indian accounting practices and statutory compliance.
• Working knowledge of Indian GAAP.
• Good understanding of US GAAP and IFRS, particularly the major differences from Indian
GAAP.
• Familiarity with foreign currency accounting and foreign exchange translation concepts.
• Understanding of payroll processes and tax compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.

Qualifications Required:
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Qualified CA or CMA, or Semi-Qualified CA/CMA with relevant IT industry experience, is preferred.
• Relevant experience is considered more important than professional certification.
Experience
• 5 to 8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Prior experience managing accounting teams.
• Experience working with multinational organizations or international finance operations.
• Exposure to banking, taxation, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.
Language:
• English (excellent spoken and written proficiency)
