Job title: Head – Marketplace Growth & Delivery
Company: Growpreneur
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
Workplace type: Remote
Employment type: Full-time
Seniority: Director / Head level
Experience target: 7+ years
Industry: E-commerce / Advertising Services / Business Consulting, depending on LinkedIn's available options
Skills to add: E-commerce, Amazon Marketplace, Quick Commerce, Marketplace Strategy, Client Management, Team Leadership, Business Strategy, Amazon Advertising, People Management, Account Management
Growpreneur is an E-commerce and Quick Commerce growth consulting company helping brands scale across Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Blinkit, Zepto and Swiggy Instamart.
We work closely with brands across marketplace strategy, advertising, analytics, catalogue and content, growth planning and overall business performance.
As we prepare for our next phase of growth, we're building a stronger leadership layer within Growpreneur — people who can take ownership, develop teams, strengthen client delivery and help build the company with us.
About the Role
We're looking for a Head – Marketplace Growth & Delivery to lead Growpreneur's marketplace delivery function.
This is not a coordination or project-management-only role.
We're looking for someone who combines:
→ Strong marketplace expertise
→ Business and commercial judgment
→ Client leadership
→ People management
→ Problem-solving and operational ownership
You'll work closely with the Founder while progressively taking ownership of client delivery, marketplace strategy, team performance, hiring, resource planning and operational excellence.
You should be comfortable stepping into a complex marketplace business, understanding what's happening, challenging the team's thinking, handling senior clients and helping arrive at the right strategy.
At the same time, you should enjoy developing people and building systems that allow the organization to scale.
We're not looking for someone who has only managed campaigns or coordinated teams.
We're looking for someone who has personally owned business outcomes, clients and people.
What You'll Own
Marketplace Growth & Strategy
→ Oversee marketplace strategy across key client accounts
→ Review performance and identify growth opportunities, risks and priorities
→ Challenge strategies and recommendations before they reach clients
→ Bring commercial thinking beyond advertising metrics
→ Step into complex accounts when deeper strategic intervention is required
Client Delivery & Leadership
→ Own the overall quality of delivery across the client portfolio
→ Lead strategic reviews for important accounts
→ Build relationships with founders and senior client stakeholders
→ Handle difficult conversations and escalations
→ Improve accountability, timelines and quality standards
→ Help teams communicate insights and recommendations more effectively
Our objective is for Growpreneur to be seen as a growth partner, not simply an execution agency.
Team Leadership & Development
→ Lead and develop marketplace managers and executives
→ Coach teams on strategy, client management, problem-solving and ownership
→ Conduct performance reviews and provide developmental feedback
→ Identify and develop future leaders
→ Handle underperformance constructively
→ Build a culture of autonomy and accountability
At Growpreneur, we believe in giving people ownership and the freedom to make decisions rather than micromanaging every step.
Hiring, Capacity & Systems
→ Identify hiring requirements based on pipeline and bandwidth
→ Interview and evaluate marketplace talent
→ Improve onboarding and training
→ Plan account allocation and team capacity
→ Build SOPs, review mechanisms and accountability systems
→ Solve recurring operational problems structurally
→ Reduce dependency on individual people as the company scales
Marketplace ExpertiseAmazon
You should have strong practical understanding of Amazon businesses beyond only PPC, including:
→ Amazon Advertising
→ Seller Central
→ Business Reports & Brand Analytics
→ Catalogue and listings
→ Inventory and availability
→ Pricing and promotions
→ Conversion and organic growth
→ Account health
→ Keyword, category and competitive analysis
Experience with Vendor Central, DSP and Amazon UAE/US/UK would be an advantage.
You don't need to execute every task personally, but you need enough technical depth to diagnose problems, challenge strategy and guide the team.
Quick Commerce
You should have meaningful understanding of the Quick Commerce ecosystem, ideally across Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart and/or BigBasket.
You don't need to be Growpreneur's strongest Quick Commerce operator on Day 1, but you should understand the business model and be capable of developing deeper expertise.
Experience with Flipkart and Myntra is also valuable.
AI & Automation
We actively encourage practical adoption of AI across analysis, reporting, research, workflows and team productivity.
However, AI should improve judgment and productivity — not replace marketplace fundamentals or independent thinking.
Business & Global Expansion
This is not primarily a sales role, but given the seniority of the position, you may participate in important discovery calls, audits, solutioning, pitches and client expansion conversations.
As Growpreneur develops its international capabilities, you may also help us build across markets such as UAE, Saudi Arabia, UK and USA.
International Amazon experience would therefore be a strong advantage.
Who We're Looking For
You could be a strong fit if you have:
→ 7+ years across e-commerce, marketplaces or digital commerce
→ Strong hands-on Amazon marketplace experience
→ Meaningful understanding of Quick Commerce
→ Experience managing multiple brands/accounts or a sizeable portfolio
→ Direct people-management experience
→ Experience coaching and developing team members
→ Strong client-facing experience, including senior stakeholders
→ Experience handling difficult client situations
→ Experience hiring/evaluating team members
→ Strong analytical and commercial judgment
→ Ability to independently diagnose problems and recommend solutions
→ Excellent communication skills
→ Strong ownership and follow-through
Agency or consulting experience is strongly preferred, particularly experience managing multiple clients simultaneously.
This Role May Not Be for You If
→ Your experience has primarily been limited to campaign execution
→ You need detailed instructions before taking action
→ You report problems rather than taking ownership of solving them
→ You've managed accounts but haven't meaningfully managed people or clients
This role requires someone comfortable operating with autonomy, ambiguity and accountability.
Why Join Growpreneur?
We don't want to build a company where the Founder is the only leader.
We want to build a company that creates leaders.
You'll have the opportunity to meaningfully influence how Growpreneur builds its team, delivery standards, systems, marketplace capabilities and international expansion.
We believe strongly in ownership, autonomy, fast growth and developing leaders from within the organization.
If you're looking for a role where you can combine marketplace expertise, business leadership, client management, people development and company building, we'd like to speak with you.
Location: Bengaluru strongly preferred
Work Model: Remote-first, with regular in-person working sessions in Bengaluru, particularly during the initial months
