About the Role - Hardware Engine
erWe are looking for a hands-on Hardware Engineer to own the design, prototyping, a
ndproductization of custom embedded devices from schematic to shipping product. You will wo
rkacross the full hardware stack — custom PCB design, firmware, mechanical enclosures, and t
hesoftware that ties devices to mobile and web experiences. This is a role for someone who
isequally comfortable routing a board, flashing a Raspberry Pi, and modeling an enclosure in CA
D.
Key Responsibilit
ies● Design custom PCBs from concept through schematic capture, layout, fabrication,
andbring-
up.● Build, test, and iterate on prototypes; run bench validation and document resul
ts.● Develop and debug firmware for embedded targets, primarily in Python and
C.● Architect and deliver custom Raspberry Pi or ESP32 solutions for product and proof-
of-concept wo
rk.● Design device enclosures and mechanical parts using CAD, with an eye tow
ardmanufacturability and thermal/fit constrain
ts.● Create UI/UX for embedded devices that is intuitive and appropriate for constrai
nedhardwa
re.● Integrate devices with mobile and web applications, ensuring reliable communicat
ionand a smooth end-user experien
ce.● Produce 3D models and photorealistic renders (SketchUp and equivalent tools)
fordesign reviews, documentation, and stakeholder presentatio
ns.● Collaborate with cross-functional teams — product, software, and manufacturing —
tomove designs from prototype to producti
on.
Required Skills & Qualificat
ions● Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or a closely related field with mechan
icaland electronics foc
us).● 3–5 years of professional experience in hardware/embedded product developm
ent.● Proven experience with custom PCB design, testing, and prototyp
ing.● Firmware development experience, with strong proficiency in Python an
d C.● Hands-on experience building custom Raspberry Pi or ESP32 soluti
ons.● Mechanical CAD modeling and enclosure design experie
nce.● Experience designing UI/UX for embedded devi
ces.● Proficiency in SketchUp and 3D render
ing.● Experience integrating hardware with mobile and web applicati
ons.
Preferred Knowledge (Nice to
