Job Description: Hardware Design Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to lead hardware development for our product lines, owning the full lifecycle from concept through production release.
Key Responsibilities
Hardware Design & Development
Design and develop hardware for the company's product lines, from concept through to production
Own schematic design, review, validation, and final sign-off
Drive design optimisation for performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability (DFM/DFR)
Component & BOM Management
Lead Bill of Materials (BOM) selection and standardisation
Manage component qualification and second-sourcing strategies to ensure supply continuity
Embedded Systems
Develop embedded C firmware including integration, testing, and debugging
Ensure firmware-hardware compatibility across design iterations
Project Ownership
Hold end-to-end ownership of product development projects — concept, specification, design, prototyping, testing, validation, and production release
Manage timelines and deliverables across each development phase
Documentation & Compliance
Prepare and maintain design documentation, technical files, test records, and version control
Ensure documentation meets internal and regulatory standards
Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with mechanical, production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure design intent translates effectively into manufacturing
Support smooth handoff from design to production
Requirements
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience in hardware design and embedded systems (please specify)
Proficiency in schematic design tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, KiCad)
Strong embedded embedded hardware and C programming skills
Experience with BOM management and component sourcing
Familiarity with DFM/DFT principles
