About the Role - Hardware Engineer
We are looking for a hands-on Hardware Engineer to own the design, prototyping, and productization of custom embedded devices from schematic to shipping product. You will work across the full hardware stack — custom PCB design, firmware, mechanical enclosures, and the software that ties devices to mobile and web experiences. This is a role for someone who is equally comfortable routing a board, flashing a Raspberry Pi, and modeling an enclosure in CAD.
Key Responsibilities
● Design custom PCBs from concept through schematic capture, layout, fabrication, and bring-up.
● Build, test, and iterate on prototypes; run bench validation and document results.
● Develop and debug firmware for embedded targets, primarily in Python and C.
● Architect and deliver custom Raspberry Pi or ESP32 solutions for product and proof-of- concept work.
● Design device enclosures and mechanical parts using CAD, with an eye toward
manufacturability and thermal/fit constraints.
● Create UI/UX for embedded devices that is intuitive and appropriate for constrained hardware.
● Integrate devices with mobile and web applications, ensuring reliable communication and a smooth end-user experience.
● Produce 3D models and photorealistic renders (SketchUp and equivalent tools) for design reviews, documentation, and stakeholder presentations.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams — product, software, and manufacturing — to move designs from prototype to production.
Required Skills & Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or a closely related field with mechanical and electronics focus).
● 3–5 years of professional experience in hardware/embedded product development.
● Proven experience with custom PCB design, testing, and prototyping.
● Firmware development experience, with strong proficiency in Python and C.
● Hands-on experience building custom Raspberry Pi or ESP32 solutions.
● Mechanical CAD modeling and enclosure design experience.
● Experience designing UI/UX for embedded devices.
● Proficiency in SketchUp and 3D rendering.
● Experience integrating hardware with mobile and web applications.
Preferred Knowledge (Nice to Have)
● Working knowledge of mobile devices, browsers, OTT media devices, and Smart TVs.
● Working knowledge of remote controlled actuators and switches.
● Experience with sourcing electronic, plastic and metal parts from manufacturers in India and global locations.
● Experience with Audio/Video testing on Android and iOS devices.
