Job Description - Lead – Global Sourcing (Procurement)

Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or related discipline) is mandatory.
- MBA / Post Graduation in Supply Chain Management, International Business or Procurement will be an added advantage.
Position Summary
Sobha Limited is seeking an experienced Head – Global Sourcing to lead its international sourcing function for construction materials, products and technologies. The role will be responsible for identifying reliable global suppliers, sourcing high-quality materials at competitive prices, introducing innovative products and technologies, and building strategic supplier partnerships that enhance quality, cost efficiency and operational excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the global sourcing strategy for construction materials and engineering products.
- Identify, evaluate and onboard international suppliers offering superior quality, competitive pricing and reliable delivery.
- Conduct global market research to identify new products, emerging technologies and innovative materials that improve construction quality, productivity and cost efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international manufacturers, suppliers and strategic partners.
- Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, contracts, payment terms, logistics and long-term supply agreements.
- Benchmark international sourcing opportunities against domestic markets to achieve sustainable cost optimization.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Projects, QA/QC and Contracts teams to evaluate and introduce new materials and technologies.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, import procedures, quality standards and company procurement policies.
- Monitor global market trends, commodity movements and supply chain risks to ensure uninterrupted availability of critical materials.
- Lead value engineering initiatives through alternative sourcing strategies and continuous product innovation.
- Drive supplier performance, continuous improvement and long-term vendor development initiatives.
- Build and mentor a high-performing global sourcing team while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and operational excellence.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- 10–20 years of experience in Procurement, Global Sourcing or Supply Chain Management.
- Proven experience in sourcing construction materials from international markets.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, global supplier networks and international procurement practices.
- Sound understanding of import/export procedures, logistics and international commercial terms.
- Demonstrated success in vendor development, strategic sourcing and procurement cost optimization.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
