Key Responsibilities – Strategic Buyer, Global Technology
- Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing and category management for global technology categories, including SaaS, cloud, enterprise software, IT services, cybersecurity, infrastructure, hardware and professional services.
- Independently manage complex, high-value sourcing projects and technology contracts valued up to or exceeding USD 15 million.
- Develop sourcing strategies through spend analysis, market intelligence, supplier benchmarking, demand optimisation, TCO analysis and competitive RFx processes.
- Lead RFI, RFP and RFQ activities—from requirement gathering and supplier identification through commercial evaluation, negotiation, contract award and implementation.
- Review and negotiate SaaS agreements, MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, order forms, renewals, amendments and licensing agreements.
- Review vendor redlines and negotiate contractual clauses in collaboration with Legal, Information Security, Data Privacy, Finance and business stakeholders.
- Negotiate critical clauses covering limitation of liability, indemnity, intellectual property, confidentiality, data protection, cybersecurity, responsible AI usage, termination rights, audit rights, service credits and dispute resolution.
- Negotiate commercials covering pricing, payment terms, renewal price caps, volume discounts, rebates, true-up/true-down rights, rate cards, benchmarking rights and multi-year price protection.
Mandatory Experience
- 10+ years of overall procurement experience, including at least 5–7 years in IT/Technology Procurement.
- Proven ownership of large IT sourcing projects or spend portfolios, preferably USD 15 million or above.
- Hands-on SaaS contract redlining and clause-negotiation experience.
- Strong, quantified record of savings and commercial value delivery.
- Experience working with global suppliers and stakeholders, particularly across North America and Europe.
- Prior team-management or category-leadership experience.
- Willingness to work the 5:30 PM–2:30 AM shift.
