Role Description The Freight Broker is a full-time, on-site role based in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. This role involves sourcing and securing freight from shippers, negotiating rates, and matching loads with reliable carriers from the company’s network. The Freight Broker will manage end-to-end shipment coordination, including dispatch, scheduling, documentation, and real-time tracking updates. Daily responsibilities include maintaining strong relationships with shippers and carriers, resolving service issues, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. The role also requires accurate data entry, use of transportation management systems, and close collaboration with operations and back-office teams to support billing and administrative processes.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of freight brokerage, dispatch operations, and transportation logistics (FTL, LTL, Dry Van, Refrigerated, Flatbed, Heavy Haul, Expedited, Cross-Border).
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems, shipment tracking tools, and basic office software (e.g., spreadsheets, email, CRM).
- Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and customer service skills for working with shippers and carriers.
- Ability to manage multiple loads simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Knowledge of ELD, HOS, and general regulatory compliance in freight and transportation is highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on reliability and follow-through.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; additional regional language skills are a plus.
- Previous experience in freight brokerage, dispatch, or logistics operations preferred; relevant vocational training or a degree in business, supply chain, or logistics is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar and collaborate in a fast-paced team environment.
