Role Description
- The Buyer at ZECODE India is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
- The Buyer is responsible for identifying and sourcing fashion products that align with the brand’s aesthetic, price points, and quality standards.
- Daily tasks include analyzing market trends, evaluating vendor proposals, negotiating pricing and terms, and placing purchase orders.
- The role also involves monitoring inventory levels, tracking sales performance, and collaborating with design, merchandising, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive collections.
- The Buyer will maintain strong supplier relationships, coordinate delivery timelines, and support seasonal planning and product launches.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in merchandising, trend analysis, and product selection for fashion or apparel categories in womenswear - ethinic , denim and athleisure.
- Experience in vendor sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Ability to analyze sales data, manage inventory, and support demand forecasting.
- Knowledge of fashion markets, consumer preferences, and price positioning in youth-oriented brands.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and buying/planning tools; comfort working with data and reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Management, Merchandising, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience as a Buyer, Assistant Buyer, or in a similar commercial fashion role is preferred.
