We're starting a new manufacturing plant in Kolkata. Using the lost-wax/investment casting process, this venture will create multiple B2B and B2C brands, acting as a hub for metal/alloy casting from East India. We have already tested the market by outsourcing to third-party vendors (Jaipur, Moradabad, Rajkot), even created one of the intended brands with a solid customer base. Now, we're about to in-house the entire production within greater Kolkata area, from start to finish.
For running this plant, we need a professional with several years of foundry experience.
- Experience with non-ferrous alloys like Zamak and brass.
- Preferred to have experience with lost-wax or investment casting process, but similar processes like die-casting or sand casting can be considered as well.
- Ideally, you should have some idea about the entire production process from molds, wax patterns, and ceramic slurry mixtures to casting and finishing/polishing.
- We're open to having you join us as a partner or on a profit-sharing basis, instead of a salary.
Further, we'd prefer it if you have one or more of the following qualities:
- Fixing production issues and finding smart solutions for casting-related defects
- Contacts/leads of workers and artisans we can approach to work under me
- Supervising a plant during the day and ensuring quality production
- Experience in export-quality production where items were sold out of India
- Specialization in smaller parts and decorative items
- Technical background to adjust issues with sprues/gates and material composition
- Mechanical background to fix issues with casting-related machinery
- Good grasp on the post-production process (finishing, filing, polishing, buffing, etc.)
