Job Description – Production Manager

Experience: At least 2 years experience as a Manufacturing Manager or 7+ yrs experience as a Lead engineer in Medical Equipment Machine tools. Electromech equipment Manufacturing.
Qualification: Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Location: Thuraipakam, Chennai
Key Responsibilities:
· Own product quality – performance and compliance to specifications
· Own Quality Management Systems (QMS) implementation and continuous enhancement of QMS
· Lead Production planning and execution to meet sales requirements – train and monitor the manufacturing team in defect-free assembly and testing of sub-systems and final product
· Own transition of new products from R&D to Shopfloor – as per QMS
· Co-own product cost with Engineering and Vendor Development teams
· Implement visual management system, weekly / monthly reporting
· Own on-time parts availability and achieve 12x inventory turns
· Own EHS and compliance to statutory norms – exceed norms
· Participate in Internal audit and responsible for the closure of NC on production.
· Participate in annual budgeting exercise and medium term business planning
The job requires continuous engagement with Sales & Product Support, Product Quality, QMS, Vendor Development / Supplier Quality , Finance and HR . Past Experience in Medical Equipment industry, Understanding of ISO 13485, USFDA/EU MDR is a plus.
