About Turom
Turom is the creator-distributed travel platform for the generation that discovers and plans travel on Instagram and TikTok. We help travel creators monetise their expertise as we turn their trusted audiences into travellers. We're early, live in market across web, iOS and Android, and building the category.
The role - Founding GTM Lead, Creator Marketplace
Creators are our customers. You'll own our creator marketplace end to end: getting creators onboarded, actively earning, and retained. It's a founding-team-level seat reporting directly to the Founder/CEO, and you'll build the motion from the ground up.
What you'll own
- Creator activation - the share of onboarded creators who actively earn
- Creator earnings - real, recurring income per active creator
- Retention - creators still earning at 3 and 6 months
What we're looking for
- Proven supply-side growth on a two-sided marketplace (creators, sellers, hosts or partners) - you've taken a supply base from onboarded → actively earning → retained, with the numbers to show it
- A monetisation builder - you've designed how supply earns (services, storefronts, revenue share, commerce), not just managed relationships or brokered brand deals
- Fluent in cohort economics - activation, earnings per head, retention, CAC
- Cold-start experience - you've bootstrapped marketplace liquidity from near-zero, not only scaled an established base
- A 0→1 operator who wants deep ownership and equity upside over a big team
- Bonus (valued, not required): travel and/or creator-economy background and network
Location & reporting
Remote within India, with occasional travel. Reports directly to the Founder/CEO.
Compensation & benefits
- Cash: Competitive for an early-stage startup
- Meaningful founding-level equity - this is a founding-team seat and is weighted accordingly
- Remote-first flexibility and direct, daily work with the founders
- High autonomy over a core company bet, with a fast path to building and leading a team
Hiring process
- Apply with proof, not a CV (see below)
- Intro conversation with the founder
- A short, paid or live problem session grounded in the real work - never unpaid spec work
- A deeper conversation with the founder plus a reference check
- Offer
How to apply
Skip the generic CV.
Send:
- One supply cohort you took from onboarded → earning → retained - the real numbers and the 2–3 levers you pulled; and
- One thing you tried that didn't work and what you learned.
