Growth & Sales Team lead – US & Canada
Role: Growth & Sales team lead – US & Canada
Location: Remote
Experience: 2+ years in consultative sales / marketing services sales
Compensation: ₹50,000/month fixed + commission
Timing: 4pm-1am MONDAY - SATURDAY
About the Role
We are looking for a Growth & Sales lead to own and drive our sales process for the US and Canada markets, starting with the US.
This is a hands-on sales leadership and closing role. You will manage a team of 3–4 Appointment Setters, own the sales pipeline and dashboard, ensure the team is consistently generating and booking qualified opportunities, and personally conduct Strategy Calls and close qualified prospects.
You will be responsible for turning the team's prospecting activity into a measurable, predictable sales pipeline and ultimately into revenue.
This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable leading a sales team, analyzing sales numbers, improving conversion at every stage, handling consultative sales conversations, and closing service-based offers.
Key Responsibilities1. Own the Sales Target
- Take ownership of the monthly sales target assigned by management.
- Initial revenue team target: $10,000/month.
- Work with management to scale the target as the US market develops, with the expectation that the target will increase significantly as the sales engine matures.
- Determine how the overall target should be distributed across the appointment-setting team based on capacity and performance.
- Build and execute the weekly action plan required to achieve the assigned target.
- Identify gaps early and take corrective action rather than waiting until the end of the month.
2. Manage the Appointment-Setting Team
Lead and manage a team of 3–4 Appointment Setters.
Responsibilities include:
- Set individual and team activity expectations.
- Monitor daily and weekly performance.
- Review the quality of appointments being booked.
- Ensure setters are targeting the correct Ideal Client Profile.
- Coach setters on qualification, discovery, objection handling and appointment booking.
- Review calls and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular mock calls and sales coaching sessions.
- Track attendance, follow-ups and appointment quality.
- Hold team members accountable for agreed performance expectations.
- Identify underperformance and implement corrective actions.
- Continuously improve the appointment-setting process based on actual conversion data.
The current setter process is specifically designed around cold outreach to life coaches in the US/Canada and requires qualification around business stage, acquisition channel, desired state, problems, previous attempts, commitment and decision-maker status.
3. Own the Entire Sales Pipeline
You will be accountable for the complete sales funnel, not just the closing stage.
This includes:
Prospecting → Contact → Qualification → Appointment Booked → Appointment Attended → Qualified Opportunity → Strategy Call → Offer Presentation → Follow-up → Close → Payment
You will be expected to:
- Ensure appointment setters are booking the right prospects, not simply increasing appointment volume.
- Monitor qualification quality before appointments reach the Strategy Call.
- Track show-up and no-show rates.
- Review the quality of opportunities entering the pipeline.
- Personally manage qualified opportunities through the closing process.
- Maintain accurate pipeline stages and follow-up dates.
- Ensure no qualified opportunity is lost because of poor follow-up.
- Identify where prospects are dropping out of the funnel and address the underlying issue.
4. Conduct Strategy Calls & Close
You will personally conduct Strategy Calls with qualified US and Canadian prospects.
You will be responsible for:
- Reviewing the setter's discovery notes before each call.
- Understanding the prospect's current situation, goals, problems and desired outcomes.
- Conducting deeper discovery.
- Identifying the business problem and its impact.
- Establishing solution fit.
- Presenting the appropriate STG solution.
- Discussing the relevant investment.
- Handling objections professionally.
- Managing the decision-making process.
- Following up with prospects who do not close immediately.
- Closing qualified opportunities and moving them toward payment.
The candidate must be comfortable selling high-value marketing/growth services through consultative selling, rather than relying on transactional sales techniques.
5. Own the Sales Dashboard & Reporting
The Growth & Sales Team will own the sales dashboard and ensure that management has a clear view of sales performance.
The exact numerical benchmarks for the KPIs will be established and refined using actual pipeline data rather than being assumed upfront.
6. Improve the Sales Process
This person is expected to be more than a manager who reports numbers.
You will be expected to continuously identify:
- Where prospects are dropping out.
- Why appointments are not showing up.
- Why booked prospects are not qualified.
- Why qualified prospects are not closing.
- Which objections are recurring.
- Which parts of the sales conversation need improvement.
- Which setters need additional coaching.
- Which parts of the process need to change to improve conversion.
You should be comfortable looking at the numbers, identifying the bottleneck and translating that insight into a specific action for the team.
First-Month Success Expectations
The initial priority will be to build a functioning and measurable US sales engine around the existing team.
Success during the initial period will include:
- Taking ownership of the $10,000 monthly revenue target.
- Establishing clear visibility across the entire sales funnel.
- Ensuring appointment setters are consistently booking qualified prospects.
- Personally conducting Strategy Calls and closing qualified opportunities.
- Establishing reliable daily and weekly sales reporting.
- Identifying the biggest conversion bottlenecks in the current funnel.
- Coaching the appointment-setting team based on actual call and pipeline data.
- Building a repeatable process that can support increasing monthly targets.
Required Skills & ExperienceMust Have
- 2+ years of experience in consultative sales, marketing services sales, business development or a similar client-facing sales role.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct discovery and consultative sales conversations.
- Strong closing ability.
- Experience handling objections and navigating buying decisions.
- Experience selling services rather than only transactional products.
- Strong verbal and written English.
- Comfortable speaking with US-based prospects.
- Strong understanding of sales funnels and pipeline management.
- Comfortable working with sales dashboards, spreadsheets and CRM data.
- Ability to analyze conversion numbers and identify sales bottlenecks.
- Ability to coach and manage a small sales team.
- Strong ownership and accountability for revenue targets.
Strongly Preferred
- Experience selling marketing, lead-generation, business-growth or similar services.
- Experience selling to business owners, coaches, consultants, founders or professional service businesses.
- Previous experience managing appointment setters or SDRs.
- Experience selling to US or Canadian clients.
- Experience with cold outbound sales.
- Experience personally closing high-ticket service offers.
The Person We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who can operate as both a sales leader and an individual closer.
You should be someone who:
- Doesn't wait for problems to become targets missed.
- Looks at numbers and knows what questions to ask.
- Can coach a setter after listening to a call.
- Can recognize the difference between a booked appointment and a genuinely qualified opportunity.
- Is comfortable being accountable for revenue.
- Can take control of a sales conversation without becoming overly aggressive.
- Understands consultative selling and asks strong questions before presenting a solution.
- Is persistent with follow-up without becoming pushy.
- Can work independently and make decisions about how to manage the team toward the assigned target.
- Is comfortable working in a performance-driven environment.
Authority & Ownership
The Growth & Sales Manager will have operational ownership of the appointment-setting team.
Management will assign the overall revenue target. The Growth & Sales Manager will have the authority to determine how that target should be distributed and pursued across the team.
