About Prepreater
Prepreater is an early-stage AI and software startup based in Pune. We build AI products, automation systems, and software that help businesses work smarter and grow.
We're now looking for an AI Growth Lead to help us take these products to businesses across Pune — in-person, or remotely if that's a better fit for you.
The Role
This is a high-ownership, commission-driven role where you'll work directly with the founder to build Prepreater's growth operation.
You'll be responsible for:
- Finding and approaching potential business customers
- Pitching and closing Prepreater's AI products and services
- Building relationships with business owners and decision-makers
- Representing Prepreater through field sales, local events, and business communities
- Identifying new markets, use cases, and growth opportunities
- Helping develop sales processes and go-to-market strategies
- Recruiting, training, and eventually leading a small growth team
Two ways to do this role:
- In-person (Pune) — based out of our Pimpri office day-to-day, full field sales and team-building ownership.
- Remote — referring or selling Prepreater's WhatsApp AI product (and websites) to businesses anywhere, including helping clients get set up themselves. A more self-directed version of the role, better suited to candidates who can't relocate or commute daily.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Confident and comfortable speaking with business owners
- Experienced in sales, business development, field sales, or local marketing
- Able to explain technology and AI in simple business terms
- Comfortable with targets, rejection, negotiation, and closing
- A strong communicator who can build genuine relationships
- Comfortable with ambiguity and taking ownership in an early-stage startup
- Interested in eventually building and leading a team
- For the in-person track: based in Pune and comfortable working in person day-to-day
- For the remote track: self-directed enough to manage client onboarding largely independently
You don't need to be an AI expert. You need to understand people, understand business, and know how to make things happen.
Compensation
- In-person role: Commission-based + ₹6,000/month stipend for your first 3 months while you ramp up, with a salary conversation opening up after that. Full structure discussed during the interview.
- Remote role: Fully commission-based — no stipend. You earn per client you bring on and help get set up. Specifics discussed during the screening call.
