About Zama
Zama exists to make real, wholesome food simple, accessible and delicious, while honouring India's extraordinary culinary heritage. We source directly from 55,000+ farmers across 42+ districts, bringing ethically grown, nourishing ingredients to the table across 200+ products.
To us, food is a universal language. It connects people across cultures, traditions and celebrations, from a weekday dal to a festive feast. We're building a movement toward a way of living where health, happiness and sustainability go together, one ingredient and one story at a time.
The Role
This is not a typical brand strategy job. You'll sit in the Founder's Office and work directly with our Founder & Chief Strategy Officer to build the next chapter of Zama's brand from the ground up.
We're about to make Indian food culture exciting in a way it hasn't been before. Think of the brands that turned into things people collect, gift, post and queue up for. We want that energy, rooted in India. The work runs across three fronts: content creation, creative and branding, and PR and social. That includes campaigns, packaging, collaborations, offline moments and cultural partnerships that people talk about. You'll shape the vision with us and then make it real.
What you'll do
You'll shape and protect Zama's brand voice, positioning and identity across every touchpoint, including digital, packaging, retail and real-world experiences. You'll lead content and storytelling, from concept to shoot to publication, and you'll be comfortable picking up a camera or directing the person holding one. You'll find, pitch and run brand collaborations, influencer partnerships, offline activations and creative tie-ups. You'll work with design, product, marketing and sales to make sure everything we put into the world feels unmistakably Zama. You'll read culture, consumer insight and the competitive landscape, and turn what you find into ideas. You'll track what's working, cut what isn't, and help plan Zama's long-term brand growth.
Who you are
You have taste, and you can explain it. You have strong instincts for brand positioning, architecture and long-term planning. You have experience in brand development, digital marketing, collaborations or brand management, ideally in food and beverage, consumer goods or lifestyle. You can take a campaign from a rough idea to launch, and you know how to measure it afterwards. You write and speak clearly, and you can move a room or a cross-functional team toward one story. You can shoot or oversee production, which is a big plus. You're organised enough to run several projects at once in a fast-moving, founder-led environment. You'd rather build something new than maintain something that already exists. A degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field is expected, and further study in branding or marketing is a plus. A portfolio that shows how you think matters more.
Why this role
You'll get a seat at the founder's table, with real ownership of a brand that has deep roots and a lot of headroom. You'll have the creative freedom to do the kind of work that ends up in other people's mood boards. You'll see your ideas go from whiteboard to shelf to someone's kitchen. You'll learn and grow at the speed of a founder's office, with your scope expanding as fast as you can take it on.
Compensation: ₹7–9 LPA, based on experience, along with the kind of exposure, ownership and portfolio-defining work that most roles take years to offer.
