Role Description The Food Server role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Food Server will greet guests, present menus, take food and beverage orders, and serve items in a timely and accurate manner. Responsibilities include answering questions about menu offerings, coordinating with kitchen and bar staff, ensuring tables are clean and properly set, and processing payments according to company procedures. The role involves maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety, providing attentive customer service, and supporting other team members during busy service periods. The Food Server will help create a welcoming environment and ensure guests have a positive, consistent dining experience.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact professionally with guests and team members.
- Candidates should possess Food & Beverage and Food Service skills to handle menu items, serving procedures, and basic service protocols.
- Candidates should ideally possess basic Cooking knowledge or familiarity with kitchen operations to understand preparation times and dish components.
- Candidates should have the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.
- Candidates should demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to stand and move for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in restaurants, cafes, or bars is beneficial but not mandatory; on-the-job training may be provided.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with basic numeracy skills for handling bills and payments.
