Role Description The Fire Protection Engineer will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and implementing fire protection and life safety systems for industrial, commercial, and residential projects in Indore, MP.
This full-time, on-site role includes preparing system layouts for hydrants, sprinklers, suppression systems, and gas flooding systems in accordance with NBC, NFPA, and TAC-compliance requirements. The role involves conducting risk assessments, reviewing building plans, and coordinating with project, design, and site teams to ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of fire safety systems. The engineer will perform site inspections, support annual maintenance plans, and assist in safety audits to validate performance and compliance. Additional responsibilities include preparing technical documentation, supporting client presentations, and collaborating in training and awareness initiatives related to fire and life safety.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Fire Protection Engineering and Safety Engineering, including system design, code interpretation, and risk assessment.
- Candidates should possess knowledge and practical experience in Fire Safety and Life Safety, including evacuation planning, hazard identification, and compliance with NBC and NFPA standards.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Fire Suppression Systems, including hydrant, sprinkler, gas flooding, and micro-environment suppression systems design and coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced certifications in fire safety are an advantage.
- Experience in industrial, commercial, or high-rise building fire protection projects, preferably within the Indian regulatory environment.
- Proficiency in CAD or similar design tools for system layouts, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional project and site teams.
- Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and willingness to be present on-site and at client locations as required.
