Role: Financial Researcher and Writer
The role demands strong financial understanding, research rigour and the ability to simplify complex concepts into clear, consumer-friendly content.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct primary and secondary research across personal finance, markets, taxation, macroeconomics, insurance and wealth management.
- Analyse financial concepts, datasets, regulatory updates and economic developments to produce actionable insights.
- Write stories across platforms, from X threads to long video scripts turning complex concepts into clear, engaging content.
- Validate information, fact-check numbers and ensure accuracy in all outputs.
- Write and structure articles, explainers and long-form stories.
- Use AI tools to assist in financial research, content ideation, drafting and repurposing while ensuring human-led accuracy and editorial quality.
- Create AI-assisted finance content across formats, including explainers, scripts, social posts and newsletters, with strong fact-checking and regulatory sensitivity.
- Convert complex financial information into simplified, high-quality content for retail audiences.
- Contribute to multi-format content such as articles, infographics, social posts, blogs and emailers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related fields.
- Preferred: CFA Level 2 cleared.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of personal finance, markets, investments and planning concepts.
- Proficiency in research, data interpretation and analytical reasoning.
- Excellent English writing skills, grammar, structure and clarity.
- Ability to simplify technical information without losing depth.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational, communication and collaborative skills.
- Ability to work under timelines while maintaining quality.
- Curiosity-driven approach with willingness to learn continuously.
