Role Description The Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the JSW Steel Dolvi association in Mumbai. This full-time, on-site role involves monitoring financial performance, preparing management reports, and supporting strategic decision-making through data-driven insights. The Finance Manager will manage accounting processes such as general ledger review, cost tracking, and compliance with internal controls and applicable regulations. The role includes coordinating with cross-functional teams to align financial plans with operational goals, managing cash flow, and assisting in audits and statutory filings. The Finance Manager will also drive process improvements in financial systems, support risk management activities, and ensure timely, accurate financial information is available to leadership.
Qualifications
- Strong financial planning and analysis capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Experience with cost management, inventory control, and manufacturing or industrial finance processes.
- Ability to use financial software and ERP systems, along with advanced skills in spreadsheets and data analysis tools.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to support operational and strategic initiatives.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant academic qualification such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, MBA in Finance) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, steel, or heavy industry environment is highly beneficial.
