Position: AM/M - Indirect Taxation
Function: Finance
Location: New Delhi
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end GST compliances including registration, returns filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C), amendments, refunds, and annual filings.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all GST returns, strictly adhering to statutory and
internal timelines.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual GST reconciliations including GSTR-1 vs GSTR- 3B, GSTR-2B vs purchase registers, electronic credit ledger vs books, and GST liability reconciliations.
- Oversee GST accounting and ensure correct tax postings, classifications, and resolution of discrepancies in indirect tax ledgers.
- Coordinate and manage GST audits including statutory audits, departmental audits, and assessments, ensuring timely closure of audit observations.
- Independently handle GST notices, scrutiny, audits, and departmental communications,
including drafting, vetting, and filing detailed replies and representations.
- Track changes in GST laws, rules, circulars, and notifications, assess their applicability, and ensure implementation across processes.
- Manage indirect tax compliances under statutory audit requirements and support internal and external auditors with reconciliations, workings, and documentation.
- Handle TDS compliances including determination of applicable TDS rates, accurate deductions, challan payments, and quarterly TDS returns filing.
- Maintain, reconcile, and manage data for TDS returns, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submissions.
- Support income tax compliances including tax audit requirements, computation support, and income tax return filings.
- Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors, and internal stakeholders for both direct and indirect tax matters.
- Oversee tax accounting for direct and indirect taxes, including provisions, disclosures, and reporting in line with statutory requirements.
- Ensure strong documentation, data management, and audit trails for all tax-related transactions.
- Strengthen internal controls related to taxation, compliance, and reporting, and support automation and process improvement initiatives.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years in FMCG/QSR/Big4.
- Strong understanding of Indian GAAP, Ind-AS, and GST.
Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI) with strong academic credentials.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Commercial Finance, Basic GST, or Finance Operations, preferably in FMCG/manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, risk management, budgeting, and regulatory frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Netsuite, GSTN, advanced Excel, and audit tools.
- Proven ability to drive automation, process optimization, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage high-scale finance operations.
