Location: Kolkata, West Bengal
Experience: 2+ years
Employment Type: Full-time
About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented Finance Associate to manage our day-to-day accounting operations and be a key part of our finance function. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants real ownership of core accounting processes: bookkeeping, inventory accounting, payables/receivables, and compliance coordination in a growing, fast-paced business.
You'll work closely with our Chartered Accountant and internal stakeholders, so this role suits someone who's organized, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative rather than just following instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain books of accounts and manage day-to-day bookkeeping using Tally
- Coordinate with the Chartered Accountant (CA) for statutory compliance, financial reporting, and internal analysis
- Manage inventory accounting and reconcile stock records for a stock-based business
- Audit reimbursement claims and petty cash expenses before approval
- Coordinate with management on vendor payments and operational expenses
- Track and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, with timely follow-ups
- Maintain accurate financial records and support monthly closing activities
- Assist in preparing reports and MIS as required by management
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in B.Com, BBA, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Bookkeeping
- Hands-on experience with Tally (required)
- Good understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
- Experience with inventory accounting/stock reconciliation is a strong plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and coordinating across teams
Working Hours
- 8–9 hour shifts
- Flexible working hours based on business requirements
Salary
Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.
Why Join Us?
- Real ownership of core finance processes, not just data entry
- Direct exposure to statutory compliance, reporting, and business decision-making
- Opportunity to grow into a senior finance/accounts role as the company scales
- Work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where your work is visible
