Role Description The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in the Kolkata metropolitan area, supporting Hotel Sea Hawk’s financial operations. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting activities, including ledger maintenance, journal entries, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations. The Senior Accountant will prepare financial statements, monitor cash flow, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and local regulations. The position also includes reviewing financial data for accuracy, coordinating with internal departments and external auditors, and recommending improvements in financial processes and controls. The Senior Accountant will provide financial insights to management to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in general accounting, including ledger management, journal entry posting, and account reconciliation.
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with hotel or hospitality ERP systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, taxation principles, and local regulatory compliance requirements.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with management, operations staff, and external auditors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA, CMA, or equivalent) are preferred.
- Prior experience in a senior accounting role, ideally within the hospitality or service industry.
