Role Description The Field Sales Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for driving sales of speciality oils, lubricants, and related products to industrial and automotive customers. Day-to-day activities include identifying and developing new business opportunities, conducting customer visits, providing technical product demonstrations, and recommending solutions that align with client requirements. The role involves managing and growing existing accounts, preparing proposals and quotations, coordinating with internal technical and operations teams, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. The Field Sales Engineer will also monitor market trends, gather customer feedback, support sales campaigns, and maintain accurate sales and activity reports to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering skills, including the ability to understand technical products and translate them into customer solutions.
- Candidates should possess core Sales and Sales Management skills to prospect, negotiate, close deals, and meet sales targets.
- Candidates should possess Account Management capabilities to maintain relationships, provide ongoing support, and drive repeat business.
- Candidates should possess relevant technical knowledge, ideally in Electrical Engineering or related engineering disciplines, to engage effectively with industrial clients.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in industrial or automotive lubricants, excellent communication and presentation skills, proficiency in CRM tools, and a valid driver’s license for regular customer visits.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field is preferred, along with prior field sales experience in B2B industrial markets.
