Role Description The Facility Management – Operation Manager (BE) will oversee day-to-day facility operations, ensuring smooth functioning of engineering, maintenance, housekeeping, security, and support services across assigned sites. Responsibilities include planning and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance, monitoring vendor performance, coordinating with clients and internal teams, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory requirements. The role involves managing budgets, optimizing energy usage, tracking operational KPIs, and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. The Operation Manager will also handle incident management, escalation, and reporting, while driving continuous improvement initiatives and technology adoption in facility management processes. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Chennai Area.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong facility operations and maintenance management skills, including supervision of engineering services, building systems, and general maintenance activities.
- Candidates should possess skills in safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance, with experience in environment health and safety (EHS) and interaction with statutory authorities.
- Candidates should possess project planning and execution abilities, including coordination of upgrades, fit-outs, and improvement projects within live facilities.
- Candidates should possess budgeting, cost control, and energy management skills, with the ability to optimize resource utilization and reduce operating expenses.
- Candidates should possess communication, stakeholder management, and vendor coordination skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in using facility management software, MS Office tools, and data-driven reporting to monitor performance and support decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred BE in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline) from a recognized institution.
- Relevant experience in facility management or building operations, ideally in corporate, industrial, or commercial environments.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, team management experience, and the ability to work on-site in a dynamic operational setting.
