Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Team Manager role based in Jagdalpur. The Team Manager will oversee daily logistics operations, monitor performance metrics, and ensure service levels and operational targets are met. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring team members, allocating work, resolving operational issues, and coordinating with internal stakeholders such as central operations, finance, and customer support. The role also involves managing relationships with truck owners, drivers, and customers, handling escalations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards. The Team Manager will prepare regular reports, analyze data to identify improvement areas, and implement process enhancements to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, supervise on-ground staff, and manage day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or field operations, with an understanding of routing, fleet management, or vendor coordination.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and customer interaction.
- Comfort with data analysis and reporting, including using spreadsheets or operational dashboards to track performance and identify trends.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle operational escalations.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and willingness to learn and use technology platforms and mobile apps for logistics management.
- Ability to work on-site in Jagdalpur, with flexibility for field visits, extended hours, or weekend work when required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Prior experience in team management or supervisory roles is an advantage; familiarity with local transport market conditions in and around Jagdalpur is a plus.
